Practicing orthodontics has proved to be an amazing and fulfilling profession for Dr. Lisa Davison. She looks forward to each day spent with patients, seeing their smiles and confidence transform. Dr. Davison finds it truly rewarding to work with patients individually to achieve a beautiful smile they can be proud of.Dr. Davison is committed to providing her patients exceptional care while getting to know their unique goals and needs. Participating in study clubs with other dental professionals allows Dr. Davison to keep up with the newest trends and techniques in all facets of dentistry. She loves working together as a team with other dentists and specialists to provide her patients with the best possible care and results. Dr. Lisa Davison has an Undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Baldwin Wallace College and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from New York University. She also spent 4 years of orthodontic residency. She received an Orthodontic Certificate from Jacksonville University and is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Davison is originally from the Cleveland area and currently resides in Powell. Outside the office, Dr. Davison enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and rescuing Weimaraners. She and her family love to be outdoors, especially if they’re skiing or kayaking. They also enjoy cooking and hosting their friends and family.
Giving back to her profession by being an active part of the dental community is important to Dr. Davison. She also enjoys supporting our community through her membership in the Chamber of Commerce, involvement with the local schools, and participation in local events.

Swarali: What was your dream job as a kid, and why?
Dr. Davison: I always wanted to be in a profession where I would be helping people in the medical field. I was drawn to dentistry because I was able to utilize my critical thinking skills in conjunction with my artistic side.
Swarali: What motivates and inspires you the most?
Dr. Davison: My patients! I love seeing the encouragement and confidence my patients experience during their smile transformation. I also love getting to know each individual patient and their families along their journey.
Swarali: What did you study in school to prepare you for this profession?
Dr. Davison: My undergraduate degree is in chemistry, followed by 4 years of dental school and then orthodontic residency.
Swarali: What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
Dr. Davison: Being able to be part of an awesome community is the most rewarding part of my career. I have the pleasure of working with amazing patients and a fantastic team of individuals. Every day is filled with fun interactions and new challenges.
Swarali: If you could do it all over again, what would you do?
Dr. Davison: This is nothing I would rather do more. Being an orthodontist is the best possible career for me.
Swarali: What advice would you give to the next generation?
Dr. Davison: Do what you love and spend time exploring different career options (shadow, ask questions, etc.)! There is a lot of truth to the saying that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. While we put a lot of energy and care into what we do, it is such a rewarding career that I’m always excited for each new day in my practice.
